Lomo
Apa sih tuh Lomo? Lomo Fisheye kayak gimana sih?
Hope you enjoyed it! xx

Lady Gaga vs Front Pembela Islam (FPI)
Konser
Pembela Islam (FPI) menolak kehadiran
Lady Gaga di Indonesia. Lady gaga dianggap memiliki penampilan porno ketika
berada diatas panggung. selain itu Lirik lagu dianggap sesat, salah satunya
lagu yang dianggap sesat berjudul Born This way karena mendukung
homoseksualitas.
Polda DKI Jakarta mencabut izin konser tanggal 3 juni
2012 karena takut terjadi konflik antar ormas, sebelumnya banyak Negara yang
telah menolak kehadiran Lady Gaga di negaranya seperti Malaysia, Cina,
Filipina, Korea Selata, Lebanon, Arab, Australia dan masih banyak lagi.
Tetapi pihak Big Daddy Entertaimen masih mengusahakan
agar Penyanyi berusia 26 tahun ini tetap bisa tampil di jakarta Indonesia, agar
tidak mengecewakan para penonton yang telah membeli tiket. Seharusnya Negara
harus berani melindungi hak masyrakat untuk bisa menikmati hiburan yang
disukai, bila tidak suka tidak usah ditonton.

American Idol Top 3
As we all know the American Idol top 3 finalists are Jessica
Sanchez, Joshua Ledet and Phillip Phillips. But who’s going out? And who are
going to be the top 2? Let’s find out.
Joshua Ledet is the first contestant called to center stage. He sang “I’d Rather Be Blind” and the judges said that Joshua doing well, R&B scat that brings down the house. And I think he’s going to be predictable as in predictably good. And the second song is “Imagine” by John Lennon. The judges said that he was overblown and over-emotional. And the third song he’s going to sing is “No More Drama”. When he sang this song he gets a little jumpy during the chorus and the judges said that it didn’t have enough melody.
Next is Jessica Sanchez. Her first song is “My All” by Mariah Carey which I think is a perfect selection. But Jimmy says it wasn’t enough of a shock and awe moment. The second song is “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing”. Well of course Steven Tyler gives her standing ovation. The last song is “I’ll be There” by The Jackson 5 and the judges says it really works. Her voices is soar and she looks and sounds like a star
And the last one is Phillip Phillips. He sang “Beggin” and Jimmy says it was entertaining and fun. And second song is “Disease” but the judges says that the song was too easy. And the third song he’s going to sing is “We’ve Got Tonight”. And yes, he gets standing ovation from the judges. Randy said that it was his best song of the season. Good job Phillip!
And this is the moment that we’ve been waiting for. After the final commercial break, it’s time to find out the results. The first person get in the Top 2 is…..Jessica Sanchez, and the second person is…… Phillip Phillips. And it means that Joshua is going home.

Movie Review: The Vow
Have you guys watched The Vow? The Vow is one of my favorite romantic drama films, starring Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum. The story tells about the struggles of a man trying to survive when his wife lost all her memories after the car accident that they have been through. The Vow is actually based on the actual relationship of Kim and Krickitt Carpenter, who wrote a book about their marriage, also known as The Vow.
Like the other romantic drama films, The Vow story begin when Leo (Tatum) meet Paige (McAdams). They like each other, and the relationship between Leo and Paige went well and finally they decided to get married. However, the wonderful story of their marriage didn’t last long. Not long after they married, they had a car accident. Luckily, Leo didn’t have severe injuries. But unfortunately Paige had brain trauma which erased memories of her romance with Leo as well as they recent marriage.
Leo had promise to be faithful in whatever condition he might through with Paige, Leo determined to take care of Paige until she get her memories back. But of course, it’s not easy. Paige’s parent (Bill and Rita) came and tried to take Paige away with a reason that it would be better to get back to her family. At the same time, Paige’s memories is still retained that she loved Jeremy, her ex when she was in college.
Leo had tried so many ways to make Paige fall in love to Leo again but it didn’t work out. And in the afternoon at the store, she meets an old friend who, unaware of her amnesia, apologizes for having had a relationship with Paige's dad, thus alerting Paige as to why she had left her family. When she confronts her mother about this, Rita tells her that she decided to stay with Bill for all the things he had done right instead of leaving him for one wrong act. Paige then asks Leo why he never told her, and he replies he wanted to earn her love instead of driving her away from her parents.
As seasons change, Leo, in a voiceover, talks about "moments of impact and ripple effects where some particles are brought closer and some are spun off into great adventures". Back in her room, Paige finds the menu card on which she had written her vow and is deeply moved. The movie ends with Paige waiting for Leo at their regular Cafe Mnemonic and going with him to try a new place instead of their regular alternative, a Cuban place.

My memorable event at Java Jazz Festival
Java
Jazz Festival (JJF) is the biggest jazz music event held every year. This event
was held on March 2nd-4th, 2012 by Java Festival
Production (JFP). JJF this year was the best show among the other years,
because they brought Stevie Wonder, Dave Koz, D’sound, Mamas Gun, and many
more.
At
Java Jazz Festival this year, I would be one of the volunteers to help monitoring
some of the artists in the interview room. I was so excited because I could
meet the artists who would be interviewed by media. There were four interview
sessions in the Interview room. I would
be in charge to coordinate the interviewing session on the set 3.
The first day of Java Jazz Festival 2012, my boss gave me the list of the interview sessions. I had a schedule to arrange the interview of D’sound. D’sound is an International group band from Norway. So my duty was to call the media. 2 hours before the interview, I had to call the media to stand by 30 minutes before the interview sessions. There were two types of media; TV/Radio media and online/magazine media. Sometimes it was hard to handle the media, because they demanded a lot of things. The hardest media to handle was Berita Satu, I really hated them. When the interview sessions begun, the first media who came to the interview room would get the first interview session. Day 1 finally done, I didn’t have any issues in handling the media at D’sound’s interview session. And the best part was I got a chance to take a picture with them, yeay lucky me. After my duty was done, I watched D’sound, Raissa, and Depapepe performances.
On the second day of Java Jazz Festival 2012, I came earlier to JIEXPO. I decided to take a look around JIEXPO. There were a lot of booths there so I took a picture myself at Rolling Stone and wall of fame booth. After I finished taking some pictures, I came to the interview room and as usual my boss gave me the list of the interview sessions. And this time I was really surprised and excited. I got a schedule to arrange the interview for Mamas Gun. I knew a few songs of them so I was really excited. There were 10 media scheduled to interview Mamas Gun on that day, so I called media crews and all of them were answering the phone and they told me that they were ready to stand by 30 minutes before the interview sessions. The time finally came for the interview session, all the media were already here. I just couldn’t imagine how hectic the situation was, because at the same time there were three interview sessions in the same interview room. So here the Mamas Gun came, they looked so COOL and so British. Finally, one by one the media from the TV, radio, and magazine finished interviewing Mamas Gun. However, unfortunately I couldn’t take a picture of them with me, because my boss was there. I was so upset and disappointed, but what else I could do.
On the third day of Java Jazz Festival 2012, I thought there would be no more interview sessions, but I was wrong. In fact, I got a schedule to coordinate the interview sessions for Mayer Hawthrone and Kotak. There were two interview sessions in one day, so I had to work hard on this final day. I came to JIEXPO at 2 o’clock and had to wait until 4 o’clock to call all the media. As I was waiting in the interview room with two of my friends, suddenly there was someone opening the door and it was my favorite band; Mamas Gun. They came in to the room and said, “Hi” to me, and I was so excited, I was screaming like a crazy girl. They told me that they wanted to use this room to have rehearsal before performing. And then they played acoustically their famous song called “Pots of Gold”. When they had done with their rehearsal, eventually I got a chance to take a picture with them. Yeayyyy I was so happy. And back to work, after Mamas Gun left I had to call the media to interview the Mayer Hawthrone and Kotak. After the interview sessions, suddenly my boyfriend showed up and then we watched all of the artist performances.
From all of the events that I’ve volunteered so far, Java Jazz Festival 2012 was the best event of all. And I was so glad that they were hiring me to monitor the interview room.

Structure Skill Toefl 6 : Adverb Clause Connectors
Sentences with adverb clauses have two basic patterns in English. Study the clauses and connectors in the following sentences:
He is tired because he has been working so hard.
Because he has been working so hard, he is tired.
In each of these examples, there are two clauses: he is tired and he has been working so hard. The clause he has been working so hard is an adverb clause that is introduced with the connector because. In the first example, the connector because comes in the middle of the sentence, and no comma (,) is used. In the second example, the connector because comes at the beginning of the sentence. In this pattern, when the connector comes at the beginning of the sentence, a comma (,) is required in the middle of the sentence.
Example:
_____ arrived at the library, he started to work immediately.
(A) The student
(B) When
(C) He
(D) After the student
_____ arrived at the library, he started to work immediately.
(A) The student
(B) When
(C) He
(D) After the student
In this example, you should recognize easily that the verb arrived needs a subject. There is also another clause, he started to work immediately. If you choose answer (A) or answer (C), you will have a subject for the verb arrived, but you will not have a connector to join the two clauses. Because you need a connector to join two clauses, answers (A) and (C) are incorrect. Answer (B) is incorrect because there is no subject for the verb arrived. Answer (D) is the best answer because there is a subject, student, for the verb, arrived, and there is a connector, after, to join the two clauses.
The following chart lists common adverb connectors and the sentence patterns used with them.
Structure Skill 5 : Coordinate Connectors
Many sentences in English have more than one clause. (A clause is a group of words containing a subject and a verb.) When you have two clauses in an English sentence, you must connect the two clauses correctly. One way to connect two clauses is to use and, but, or, or so between the clauses.
The sun was shining and the sky was blue.
The sky was blue, but it was very cold.
It may rain tonight, or it may be clear.
It was raining outside, so I took my umbrella.
In each of these examples, there are two clauses that are correctly joined with a coordinate connector—and, but, or, or so—and a comma (,).
Example:
I forgot my coat, ____ I got very cold.
(A) then
(B) so
(C) later
(D) as a result
(A) then
(B) so
(C) later
(D) as a result
In this example, you should notice quickly that there are two clauses, I forgot my coat and I got very cold. This sentence needs a connector to join the two clauses. Then, later, and as a result are not connectors, so answers (A), (C), and (D) are not correct. The best answer is answer (B) because so can connect two clauses in this manner.
The following chart lists the coordinate connectors and the sentence pattern used with them.

Structure Skill Toefl 4 : Past Participles
Past participles can cause confusion in the Structure section of the TOEFL test because a past participle can be either an adjective or a part of the verb. The past participle is the form of the verb that appears with have or be. It often ends in -ed, but there are also many irregular past participles in English.
The mailman has left a letter in the mailbox. (Left is VERB)
The classes were taught by Professor Smith. (Taught is VERB)
In the first sentence, the past participle left is part of the verb because it is accompanied by has. In the second sentence, the past participle taught is part of the verb because it is accompanied by were.
A past participle is an adjective when it is not accompanied by some form of be or have.
The letter left in the mailbox was for me. (Left is ADJECTIVE)
The classes taught by Professor Smith were very interesting. (Taught is ADJECTIVE)
In the first sentence, left is an adjective rather than a verb because it is not accompanied by a form of be or have (and there is a verb, was, later in the sentence). In the second sentence, taught is an adjective rather than a verb because it is not accompanied by a form of be or have (and there is a verb, were, later in the sentence).
Example:
The bread _____ baked this morning smelled delicious.
(A) has
(B) was
(C) it
(D) just
Example:
The bread _____ baked this morning smelled delicious.
(A) has
(B) was
(C) it
(D) just
In this example, if you look only at the first few words of the sentence, it appears that bread is the subject and baked is either a complete verb or a past participle that needs a helping verb. But if you look further in the sentence, you will see the verb smelled. You will then recognize that baked is a participial adjective and is therefore not part of the verb. Answers (A) and (B) are incorrect because baked is an adjective and does not need a helping verb such as has or was. Answer (C) is incorrect because there is no need for the subject it. Answer (D) is the best answer to this question.
Structure Skill Toefl 3 : Present Participles
Present participles can-cause confusion in the Structure section of the TOEFL test because a present participle can be either an adjective or a part of the verb. A present participle is the - ing form of the verb. It is part of the verb when it is preceded by some form of the verb be.
The train is arriving at the station now. (Arriving is VERB)
In this sentence, arriving is part of the verb because it is accompanied by is.
A present participle is an adjective when it is not accompanied by some form of the verb be.
The train arriving at the station now is an hour late. (Arriving is ADJECTIVE)
In this sentence, arriving is an adjective and not part of the verb because it is not accompanied by some form of be. The verb in this sentence is is.
Example:
The film ____ appearing at the local theater is my favorite.
(A) now
(B) is
(C) it
(D) was
In this example, if you look at only the first words of the sentence, it appears that film is the subject and appearing is part of the verb. If you think that appearing is part of the verb, you might choose answer (B), is, or answer (D), was, to complete the verb. However, these two answers are incorrect because appearing is not part of the verb. You should recognize that appearing is a participial adjective rather than a verb because there is another verb in the sentence, is. In this sentence, there is a complete subject, film, and a complete verb, is, so this sentence does not need another subject or verb. The best answer to this question is answer (A).
Structure Skill Toefl 2 : Objects of Prepositions
An object of a preposition is a noun or a pronoun that comes after a preposition such as in, at, of, to, by, behind, and on to form a prepositional phrase.
The trip (to the island) (on Saturday) will last (for three hours)
This sentence contains three objects of prepositions. Island is the object of the preposition to; Saturday is the object of the preposition on; hours is the object of the preposition for.
An object of a preposition can cause confusion in the Structure section of the TOEFL test because it can be mistaken for the subject of a sentence.
Example :
To Mike ____ was a big surprise.
(A) really
(B) the party
(C) funny
(D) when
In this example, you should look first for the subject and the verb. You should notice the verb was and should also notice that there is no subject. Do not think that Mike is the subject; Mike is the object of the preposition to, and one noun cannot be both a subject and an object at the same time. Because a subject is needed in this sentence, answer (B), the party, is the best answer. Answers (A), (C), and (D) are not correct because they cannot be subjects.
The following chart outlines the key information that you should remember about objects of prepositions.
